Extension plans composting workshop
The Washington County Master Gardeners, through Penn State Extension, will offer a workshop on composting at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Children’s Garden, across from the Washington County Fairgrounds.
Cost is $10. Participants will learn about the various types of composting, considerations before deciding to compost and ways to create their own compost area. All participants will receive a bucket of compost.
Bring a chair for the one-hour workshop. Participants can register by calling the Penn State Extension office at 724-228-6881.
