Cokeburg Presbyterian Church, 100 Washington St., will hold a chicken-and-biscuit dinner from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. today. Dinner includes chicken and biscuit, mashed potatoes, salad, applesauce and pie or cake. Cost is $8 for adults and $5 for children. Takeout will be available. There will be a Chinese auction. Northwood Charitable Foundation will hold its inaugural “Mission Possible” 5k and dinner-dance Saturday at American Legion Post 175, 168 Park Ave., Washington. Registration for the race begins at 7 a.m., and the race will start at 8. A T-shirt is included with the $25 entry fee. A dinner-dance will be held from 6 to 10 p.m. Tickets are $20 per person and can be purchased in advance by calling 724-747-2732.
Bridgeville Area Historical Society will host “The American Way of Voting: A Wild History,” presented by Todd DePastino, at 7:30 p.m. Sept. 27 in the Chartiers Room at Bridgeville Volunteer Fire Department. The presentation will include stories from wild elections and voting practices from the past, including stolen, disputed and inconclusive presidential elections.
