The 2016 Avella History Fair and Car Cruise will begin at 9 a.m. Saturday at the Avella fire hall, Route 50.

Sponsored for the second year by the A.D. White Research Society in Avella, the fair continues a longtime tradition of events previously held at the Community Center in the old Avella High School building.

There will be a variety of displays, including railroad and streetcar displays, old mining and oil well pictures and tools, books and cars, food and crafters. Plaques will be presented to the first 50 people who register for the car cruise.
