Lifesteps to hold annual Art Show
Lifesteps Washington County Community OutReach Center, 2705 Route 136, Eighty Four, will host its annual Art Show Friday.
The center will hold two shows, a daytime presentation at 10:30 and an evening presentation beginning at 6:30. Light refreshments will be provided.
The title of this year’s show is “Our World, Our Art,” and will consist of six different themes: Zoo Animals, The Magic of Art, Four Seasons, What’s in a Name: Self-Awareness and Identify Through Art, Therapeutic Art Making and a Unique Twist on Andy Warhol and His Collections.
Lifesteps Community OutReach day programs provide individuals with personalized care to help foster self-sufficiency in daily living, enabling individuals to live in a less-restrictive environment. Participants learn initiative, resourcefulness and self-reliance by association with typical peers and other participants with intellectual or developmental disabilities. The program also focuses on teaching individuals how to protect themselves against neglect, abuse or exploitation.
