Night of Comedy helps fight cancer
A Night of Comedy to Fight Cancer will be held Saturday in the Donora Social Hall.
Doors open at 7 p.m., and the show will begin at 8. Comic headliners include John Evans from NBC’s “Last Comic Standing” and Comedy Central and keyboard comic Auggie Cook. Mike Sasson, who can be heard on CBS Radio, will serve as the host.
There also will be a 50/50 raffle and a Chinese auction.
Tickets are $25 ticket and include beer, soft drinks and light snacks. Those who attend must be over 21, and BYOB is permitted.
Laurie Chester, a two-time cancer survivor who works in the Human Resources Department at Monongahela Valley Hospital, is sponsoring the event to raise money to help cancer patients in the mid-Mon Valley.
