New Freeport fire hall will hold a country music show from 7 to 10 p.m. Saturday. Brad Crow and the Cut-Ups will perform from 7 to 8:30 p.m. and Ambassadors for Christ will perform from 8:30 to 10 p.m. Admission is $5. The event is sponsored by New Freeport Ladies Auxiliary.
Waynesburg University’s music program will present its annual free spring concert at 7:30 p.m. Saturday in Roberts Chapel. The concert will feature the Lamplighter Concert Choir and Symphonic Band. Central Greene School District Relay for Life team and the Women of the Moose Relay for Life team will hold “Quartermania” from 12:30 to 3 p.m. Saturday. Doors open at noon and the event will be held upstairs at the Waynesburg Moose Lodge 461. Cost is $5 per person and participants are reminded to bring lots of quarters. There will be more than 50 items up for bid, including home décor, Vera Bradley items, Pirates tickets, gift cards and more. Proceeds benefit the American Cancer Society.
Waynesburg University will host its 10th annual Relay for Life from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday in the school’s Johnson Commons. All money collected from the event will stay in Greene County to benefit programs such as cancer research, Road to Recovery, ACS Hope Lodge, one-on-one peer support, cancer prevention and assistance with the 24-hour ACS hotline. The theme of this year’s event is “Kick Cancer Off the Board,” and the goal is to raise $15,000.
