Comcast will host a free children’s Painting with a Twist party from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday at the Xfinity store, 22 Old Mill Boulevard, Washington. Artists will guide children to create a painting featuring a Minion character from Despicable Me.

Martha Washington Garden Club will meet at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in Laboratory Presbyterian Church, 33 Manse St., Washington. The presentation will be a design demonstration and workshop in preparation for the June flower show. Marie Mueller will present the basics of two designs that add great interest to designs. Participants should bring a container, three to five flowers, a couple sticks and a leaf or two to practice. A light lunch will follow the demonstration.
