The Peters Township Police Department will host a Citizens Police Academy from 6:30 to 8:45 p.m. Tuesdays, May 9-June 13.

The program will expand citizens’ knowledge and understanding of the law and explore police procedures. Participants will be taught the basics of criminal law, with emphasis on crime codes and vehicle code.

The program also will include patrol tactics, the processing of crime scenes, interview and interrogation and other subjects. Class size is limited to 25 participants.
