Nursing scholarship are available
Greene County Memorial Hospital Foundation in conjunction with the Auxiliary of Washington Health System Greene is offering a $5,000 tuition assistance award for nursing students who have completed at least one year of secondary schooling.
During the past 10 years, the foundation has awarded more than $200,000 in scholarships and tuition assistance awards.
The foundation holds two primary fundraisers each year: the annual golf outing, scheduled for July 14 at the Greene County Country Club in Waynesburg, and the 28th annual Harvest Ball, scheduled for Nov. 4 at Nemacolin Woodlands Resort. Reservations are being accepted for either of these opportunities to contribute to the foundation. Typically, donations made to the foundation are tax deductible as allowed by law.
