Tourism agency promoting Pony series with free hot dogs
The Washington County Tourism Promotion Agency will host a hot dog truck throughout Washington County next week to promote the DICK’s Sporting Goods Pony World Series.
The Visit Washington County Hot Dog Truck will stop at three locations in the county and provide free hot dogs and refreshments to the first 250 people in attendance. The agency is partnering with Hott Dawgz, a locally owned food truck vendor, for the event.
In addition, attendees will have the opportunity to register to win various items, such as baseball tickets to the Pony World Series, Pittsburgh Pirates or Washington Wild Things; All-Clad Metalcrafters cookware; DICK’S Sporting Goods gift cards; and Pony World Series game gear.
The schedule for the hot dog truck is as follows:
• Monday, 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. – Mon Valley YMCA, 101 Taylor Run Road, Monongahela;
• Wednesday, 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. – Peters Township Public Library, 616 E. McMurray Road, McMurray;
• Thursday, 6 to 8 p.m. – DICK’S Sporting Goods, Washington.
The Pony World Series will be held Aug. 11-16 at Washington Park.
