Shoe, purse bash at California University
The 11th annual Village Shoe & Purse Bash will be held from 2 to 5 p.m. Sept. 17 at the Natali Performance Center at California University of Pennsylvania.
Famous-maker shoes and handbags, including Michael Kors, Kate Spade, Coach and Tory Burch, will be given away every 15 minutes. Between drawings, guests will have the opportunity to purchase a variety of items from the merchandizers’ bazaar. Food also will be served, and there will be basket and silent auctions. New this year will be a Mystery Box game in which good things do come in small packages. This year, a Valentino pebbled leather satchel bag valued at $1,800 will be the grand prize.
All proceeds benefit the Village, a nonprofit, early childhood education center that provides care for children 6 weeks through 5 years old, plus before and after school care. Single parents who are enrolled in full-time educational programs to improve the lives of their families also may be eligible for child care scholarships.
