Trinity teachers take a pie to the face for charity
Trinity South Elementary students, staff and families came together to raise money for the American Cancer Society by holding a Penny War. Students brought in all of their spare change and ended up raising $1,220.11, with the winners being given the opportunity to throw pies at their teachers. Margie Smith from the American Cancer Society was presented with a check, then the school watched while the two winning classrooms threw pies at their four willing targets, pictured from left: Amanda Hatcher, second grade; Julie McGarrity, fourth grade; Pete Keruskin, principal; and Bill Hughes, guidance counselor.
