Bigler elected to board
Darlene J. Bigler, chief executive officer of Blueprints, formerly Community Action Southwest, was recently elected to the board of directors of the national organization Community Action Program Legal Services Inc. CAPLAW, a nonprofit membership corporation established in 1989 and based in Boston, Mass., provides the legal, governance and management resources that enable the national Community Action Agency network of more than 1,000 organizations to provide opportunities for low-income individuals and families to achieve self sufficiency. Bigler joins 10 other organizational leaders of community action agencies across the nation on the board of directors. Bigler has served as the CEO of Blueprints for the last 24 years, is a board member and past president of the Community Action Association of Pennsylvania, and serves on the boards of directors of Keystone Hope Development, Threshold Housing Development and the Southwest Corner Workforce Investment Board. Additionally, Bigler is a trustee of the Washington Health System.
