The 19th Crucible Volunteer Fire Department Doll Baby Pageant, sponsored in part by Allegheny Outdoor Power Equipment in Carmichaels, was held Oct. 21 in the fire department social hall. The event was directed by Nikki Albert of Carmichaels with photos by Sarah Smith Photography. The Crucible Supreme title was won by 8-year-old Ella Menear, daughter of Erika and Brian Menear of Greensboro. Ella, who had the highest combined beauty and photogenic scores, was crowned by 2016 Crucible Supreme Caitlynn Patterson. The Mister Crucible Supreme title was won by 19-month-old Jameson Sweeney, son of Sarah and Josh Sweeney of Jefferson. Oakley Ravenscroft, 2-year-old daughter of Amber Habrat and Virgil Ravenscroft of McClellandtown, won the Tiny Miss Crucible title. Vivianna Gulino, 7-year-old daughter of Cassandra and Edward Gulino of Masontown, won the Little Miss Crucible title. Olivia Lawrence, 10-year-old daughter of Amanda and Adam Lawrence of Greensboro, won the Petite Miss Crucible title.
