Ella Schaltenbrand was awarded the prestigious Gaydos, Hester, Weiss and Shuster Scholarship for leadership and service by Duquesne University. Schaltenbrand is a senior at Duquesne University majoring in political science. She is a 2014 graduate of Bentworth High School. She will study law after graduating from Duquesne University. Her parents are Kathleen Downes of Bentleyville and Phil Schaltenbrand of Scenery Hill.
