Stevens – 97 years
James Stevens Sr. of Waynesburg will celebrate his 97th birthday with his family.
Mr. Stevens was born February 7, 1920, in Washington.
In 1969, he married Evelyn M. Leonard. The couple were married for 47 years.
His children are James (Alison) Stevens of Richeyville, Brandon (Kylee) Stevens of Washington and Kim (Harry) Dulaney of Pittsburgh.
Mr. Stevens served in the U.S. Army for five years and is a World War II veteran, 77th Infantry 13th Division, and received several honors.
He spent his life working as a master plumber, welder/fitter and boiler maker.
Mr. Stevens formerly enjoyed boating, and enjoys camping, traveling, building things, walking, making friends, conversation and spending time with his family and his dog, Cody.
