Austin Armstrong, son of Scott and Michelle Armstrong of Washington, was named to the dean’s list at Gannon University, where he is majoring in business. He also is a member of the varsity soccer team. Armstrong is a 2016 graduate of Trinity High School.

Mary Fritz, daughter of Carl and Tracie Fritz of Washington, was named to the dean’s list at California University of Pennsylvania, where she is majoring in criminal justice. She is a 2016 graduate of Trinity High School.

Derek Glover was named to the dean’s list at Robert Morris University, where he is majoring in software engineering. He is a 2013 graduate of Trinity High School and is employed by DVSport Software Inc. His parents are Thomas and Karla Glover of Washington.

Lauren McGavitt, daughter of Kristen McGavitt, was named to the dean’s list with a 4.0 grade-point average at Waynesburg University, where she is majoring in nursing. She is a 2016 graduate of Trinity High School and is employed by Salon Lenae.

Carlie Oros was named to the dean’s list at Robert Morris University, where she is majoring in environmental science. She is a 2013 gradute of Trinity High School, and her parents are Bruce and Linda Oros of Washington.

Zachary Stiffler was named to the dean’s list at West Virginia University, where he is majoring in mechanical engineering. He was awarded the Phi Kappa Psi Tony Horton Scholarship and received the 2016 American Legion Scholastic Medal. Stiffler also received the 2015 U.S. Air Force ROTC Technical Scholarship. He is a cadet second lieutenant in the West Virginia Air Force ROTC Detachment 915. Stiffler graduated in 2014 from Trinity High School, and his parents are Bernadette Stiffler and Harry Stiffler, both of Washington.

Justine Yanosik, daughter of Amy Yanosik of Midway, was named to the dean’s list at Slippery Rock University, where she is majoring in math. She plays the flute in the Slippery Rock Marching Pride Band. Yanosik is a 2016 graduate of Fort Cherry High School.

Alex S. York was named to the dean’s list at Washington & Jefferson College with a 4.0 grade-point average. He also was accepted into the Alpha Lambda Delta National Honor Society. York writes for the college newspaper, yearbook, hosts his own radio program and participates in numerous clubs. He is a 2016 graduate of Commonwealth Connections Academy, and his parents are Scott and Tammy York of Washington.
