Amwell Township residents can reserve park pavilions at Amwell Township Park beginning Monday, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the township municipal building, 885 Amity Ridge Road. Reservations must be made in person, and fees must be paid in full when reservations are made. Nonresidents can make reservations beginning March 20. For more information, call 724-222-6323.
Volunteers are needed for the food bank at Calvin United Presbyterian Church, 307 Spring St., Brownsville. Volunteers will unload trucks at 8:30 a.m. Feb. 24 and help set up at 9:15 a.m. Feb. 25. Food distribution is at 10 a.m. Feb. 25.
Washington County Parks and Recreation will hold Intro to Snowshoeing at 10 a.m. Feb. 25 for basic snowshoe instruction followed by a hike on modern snowshoes. Participants will meet at Mingo Creek County Park office. There will need to be at least three inches of snow to hold the program. If there is not enough snow, a hike will be offered. There is no fee. A limited number of snowshoes are available. Dress appropriately for the weather and hiking. Registration is required; call 724-228-6867.
West Greene Quarterback Club is coordinating a bus trip to New York City March 31-April 2. The coach bus will leave Friday night and arrive in the city Saturday morning. Participants will be able to explore the city Saturday, board the bus Saturday night, and arrive back Sunday morning. Cost is $130 per person and a $50 deposit is required.
