Carrie B. Hill Mission of St. Paul Baptist Church, 49 South McKean, Donora, will host its annual warm hearts fellowship luncheon at 1:30 p.m. Sunday. The mission is spearheading a drive to collect underwear for the children of Haiti. Underwear should be in sizes small and medium only. The luncheon will consist of soups and salads.
Liberty United Methodist Church, 1330 Banetown Road, Washington, will hold a community dinner from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Thursday. Menu includes creamed chicken and biscuit, mashed potatoes, green beans, cole slaw or fruit, dessert and a beverage. A free-will offering will be accepted. Carryout will be available. Carmichaels Women’s Civic Club will meet at 6 p.m. Thursday in Carmichaels Methodist Church fellowship hall. Eben Williams, Greene County Historical Museum curator, will present a program about the history of Greene County, featuring the town of Carmichaels. All members are encouraged to bring a guest. Members are reminded to bring items for the troops and paper products for the food bank.
Peters Township Chamber of Commerce announces the grand opening of The Health Club at Southpointe. The event will take place from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday, and will include a health and wellness fair, give-a-ways, refreshments and tours. A ribbon-cutting will take place at 10:30.
