Free Indeed – Addiction Recovery Group will meet at 6 p.m. Thursday at Malden Christian Fellowship, 343 Old National Pike. Guest speaker will be Dan Ternitski with Celebrate Recovery, a Christian-based, 12-step program. The new group is hoping to start a local program at Malden Christian Fellowship.
St. Vincent DePaul-sponsored food bank will be held Jan. 18 at First United Methodist Church, 215 Church St., Brownsville. Distribution will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Registration for new participants is 10:30 a.m.
Volunteers are needed to help unload trucks Jan. 27 and distribute food Jan. 28 at the food bank at Calvin United Presbyterian Church, 307 Spring St., Brownsville. Trucks arrive at 8:30 a.m. The Jan. 28 volunteers should arrive at 9:15 a.m. to prepare for the 10 a.m. distribution.
Presbyterian SeniorCare will host an AARP Driver Safety Program from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Jan. 31 in the chapel meditation room. Participants must have completed a previous class within the last three years. Bring proof of prior class completion and AARP card. Class size is limited to 15. South Hills Coin Club’s 57th anniversary Coin Show will be held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Feb. 4 and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Feb. 5 at Crowne Plaza Pittsburgh South, Bethel Park, across from South Hills Village. Admission is free, and there will be hourly door prizes.
Domestic Violence Services of Southwestern Pennsylvania is looking for volunteers. The next volunteer training class will start in the spring. Deadline for applications is March 11. City of Wheeling Arts & Cultural Commission and the Wheeling YWCA are accepting applications for the seventh annual Wheeling Arts & Cultural Fest, which will be held from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. June 16 and 17. Applications are being accepted through March 15, and can be found online at www.wheelingartsfest.com. The free arts festival seeks a diverse group of visual and performing artists as well as vendors.
