Spaghetti dinner benefits California family
The California community is sponsoring a spaghetti dinner fundraiser from 2 to 8 p.m. Friday at the California Hill Gun Club, 150 California Road, to benefit the Ruby family, who lost their home and all their belongings in a Jan. 10 fire.
Adult dinners are $10, and dinners for children younger than 12, costs $5. Take-out will be available. There also will be a Chinese auction.
A Go Fund Me account for the Ruby family, who are members of Malden Christian Church, has been set up by Rebecca Gutosky, sister of Alexa Ruby, a first-grade teacher at California Elementary School.
Also, monetary donations can be mailed to Chris and Alexa Ruby, c/o John and Paula Gutosky, 378 Malden Road, Coal Center, PA 15423.
All proceeds will be used for clothing and housing for Chris and Alexa and their two sons, Jaden and Caleb.
