John F. Kennedy Catholic School will hold an open house from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Sunday for all interested families with children in preschool through eighth grade. New student registration for preschool, five-day kindergarten-readiness, half-day or full-day kindergarten and Grades 1 through 8 will be accepted beginning Feb. 6. Carmichaels Women’s Civic Club will meet at 6 p.m. Thursday in the fellowship hall at Carmichaels Methodist Church for the annual arts program. Entries of The Arts Kaleidoscope” contest will be on display. Artist Leslie Fehling and Linda Winegar, co-owner and potter of the Artbeat Gallery in Waynesburg, will speak. New members are welcome.

St. Valentine’s Church in Bethel Park will host a Valentine’s Day family bingo night from 7 to 9 p.m. Feb. 10. There will be a snack bar, temporary tattoos and balloon art. Bingo cards are $1 each. Admission is free.

White Oak American Legion Post 701, 2813 Capital St., White Oak, will sponsor oldies dances from 7 to 11 p.m. Feb. 11 and 25. A 50/50 raffle will be offered. Admission is $5 per person and proceeds benefit veterans programs. Music from the 1950s and early 1960s will be provided by Candy and Mike. For more information, call 724-984-6611.

Lighthouse Community Church, 160 Vista Valley Road, Washington, will hold its annual sweetheart dinner at 6 p.m. Feb. 11. Cost is $14 per person and includes dinner, dessert, a photo and live entertainment. For reservations, call 724-222-4922.

The Good Ol’ Days House, 914 Broad Ave., North Belle Vernon, will hold Valentines for Vets from 1 to 3 p.m. Feb. 12. Residents are invited to create handmade Valentine cards and messages that will be delivered to veterans in area hospitals. Refreshments will be provided. A variety of materials will be available, but participants are welcome to bring their own decorations. South Hills Coin Club will meet at 8 p.m. Feb. 14 at Bethel Presbyterian Church, 2999 Bethel Church Road. A 50/50 raffle will be offered and prizes for children will be awarded. Applications are now being accepted for membership. For more information, call 724-984-6611.
