Mother Goose story time for children up to 3 years old with a caregiver begins at 11:30 a.m. every Monday. There are stories, finger plays, songs and movement.
Yoga for Beginners is held at 5:30 p.m. every Monday. Bring a mat, a towel and some water. Class is $1 per person.

Build a Better World Community Day will be held from 10 a.m. to noon July 22. There will be an invention fair, where children can display their ideas to make the world a better place. There are six different categories for the invention fair:
• Build: Understand how basic building materials and tools work (example: Lego creation);
• Discover: Study nature around you (example: scientific observation journal of local birds);
• Live: Study people around you (example: presentation on a culture);
• Sense the world around you: Hearing, seeing, tasting touching (example: healthy cooking);
• Transform the world around you: Transforming potential to kinetic energy (example: marble maze);
• Invent: Make the world a better place (example: art, engineering creation, story).

Registration is required, and there is a $5 fee per week. The library will hold a book sale from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. July 28 and 29 at the historic Plumer House on South Water Street in West Newton. Four rooms will be packed with hundreds of books. Fill a bag for $5. Otherwise, hardbacks are $1 each and paperbacks are 50 cents each.
