New Freeport fire hall will hold a country music show from 7 to 10 p.m. Saturday. Sandy Huffman will perform from 7 to 8:30, and Larry Santee with Walker Anderson will perform from 8:30 to 10. Admission is $5. The show is sponsored by New Freeport Ladies Auxiliary.

Amwell Township Historical Society will meet at 6 p.m. Monday at the Amwell Township Community Park for a picnic. Meat, rolls, drinks and paper products will be provided. Family members and friends are invited. Deborah Davis will present a brief program on the Century Inn.

AFSCME Retiree Local 8402 will meet at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Frank Sarris Public Library in Canonsburg. Reservations are being accepted for the annual picnic Aug. 8. To make reservations, call Marianne Saunders at 724-322-1970.

Monongahela Area Chamber of Commerce will meet at noon Wednesday at Monongahela Valley Hospital. Guest speaker will be Stephanie Paluda, local government and community affairs specialist with EQT Corp. Lunch is $15 for members and $18 for nonmembers. Upper Buffalo Presbyterian Church, South Buffalo Road, Hopewell Township, will hold its free monthly community lunch from noon to 1 p.m. Wednesday.

Pennsylvania Trolley Museum, Washington, will offer a special behind-the-scenes tour from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sept. 9. All buildings at the East and West campuses will be shown. Cost is $40 for members and $50 for nonmembers and includes a catered lunch. The tour will be limited to the first 25 people who sign up. Tickets must be purchased in advance at pa-trolley.org.

The Greater Canonsburg and McMurray Lions clubs will hold a Night At the Races Sept. 30 at the White Eagles Club, 303 Adams Ave., Canonsburg. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. Dinner is at 6, and post time is 7. Dinner is $10. Buy and name your own horse for $10. Buy two horses and receive a complimentary dinner.
