Mon Valley Community Night at the Washington Wild Things, hosted by the Mon Valley Regional Chamber and the Young Professionals of the Mon Valley, will be held Friday. Mon Valley Railroad Historical Society Inc., located at 128 Pleasant Street in Morgantown, W.Va., will hold Kids Day from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday. Experience railroading in 1950s West Virginia. There will be free “fun packets” for the first 50 children, a Chinese auction, model railroad videos, railroad music and a white elephant table. For a $5 donation, run one of the trains for 20 minutes through the society’s “Be a Visiting Engineer.” Refreshments will be sold. Free admission. Donations accepted. Peters Township Chamber of Commerce will hold a Summer After Hours Networking Event from 5 to 7 p.m. July 20 at Miller’s Ace Hardware, McMurray. Cost is $5 for members with reservations and $10 for nonmembers and at the door. There will be complimentary appetizers and beverages. Register at www.ptcoc.org by July 18.
Retired Men’s Luncheon Group will meet July 20 at Pleasant Hills Presbyterian Church, 199 Old Clairton Road, for a lunch and folk music event. Lunch begins at noon. Warrior Trail Association of Greene County will meet at 6:30 p.m. July 2, at its headquarters in Fordyce. Local songwriter and musician Tom Breiding will perform songs from his latest album, “River, Rails or Road.” There will be a free covered-dish picnic dinner. Jefferson Township Historical Society, Eldersville, will hold a yard sale from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. July 21 and July 22 at the White Church. Only nice, clean used items will be accepted. No clothes, shoes or books will be accepted.
DeMarillac Guild of St. Louise DeMarillac Church will hold a “Timeless Treasures” flea market from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. July 21 and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. July 22 in the lower level of LeGras Parish Center, 320 McMurray Road, Upper St. Clair. Items for sale will include jewelry, decorative items, knick knacks, kitchen items, linens, tools, books, toys, small pieces of furniture and gently used children’s clothing to size 6.
