Eldersville is planning its annual Sept. 11 memorial service and will honor ironworkers who worked at ground zero.

The committee is seeking someone to speak at the service on behalf of the ironworkers. Anyone who is interested is asked to call Diane Huggins at 724-947-9782 or dhuggins2@verizon.net.

The Sept. 11 service will be held at 2 p.m. Sept. 10 at the Veterans Memorial, Cedar Grove Road, Eldersville. State Sen. Camera Bartolotta, R-Carroll Township, also will speak, and there will be therapy dogs from Animal Friends in Pittsburgh.

Refreshments will be served afterward at White Church on Fire Road, right behind the memorial.
