Monessen church to hold parish festival
The festival at Epiphany of Our Lord Parish will be held Aug. 5 and 6 on the chapel grounds, 44 Pennsylvania Blvd., Monessen.
Highlights include a mini-escape room and a visit by Iceburgh, who will make an appearance at 5 p.m. Aug. 6. A Chinese lantern release will be held at 10 p.m Aug. 5.
The festival opens at 5 p.m. Aug. 5, immediately following 4 o’clock Mass at the chapel. Food offerings include homemade hot or sweet sausage and kielbasa sandwiches, homemade pierogis, haluski and baked penne pasta, as well as burgers, wings and pizza burgers.
Street Level Band will perform from 6 to 10 p.m., with an outdoor Mass beginning at 10:30 p.m.
On Aug. 6, food will include homemade pierogis, halupki, haluski, sausage sandwiches and lasagna, as well as picnic food. Ray Jay and the Carousels will perform from noon to 4 p.m., and 2Broke Country Girls will perform from 5:30 to 8 p.m.
