Summer reading programs for adults and children continue through Aug. 18. Adults can track their reading and attend workshops at the library as follows:

• Aug. 15 – Visit with an Armchair Traveler;

• Aug. 17 – Cupcake Decorating Tournament.

Children can read to earn “book bucks” for the Summer Reading Auction. The auction will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Aug. 18. Children will be able to bid on backpacks, books, games and other items.

Color Outside the Lines for adults is held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 5 to 7 p.m. every Wednesday. The library will provide coloring sheets and supplies.

T.O.P.S. – Take Off Pounds Sensibly – is a weight management support group that meets from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. every Saturday. New members are welcome.

Movie Night will begin at 5 p.m. Aug. 9. “Diary of a Wimpy Kid: the Long Haul” will be shown. Free popcorn and beverages will be provided.

The library is accepting donations on behalf of Greene County United Way’s “Stuff the Bus” campaign drive. There are collection buckets at the front and rear entrances of the library. The library also will be represented at the Stuff the Bus program from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Aug. 16 at Lions Club Park, JC Pavilion.

Creative Crafting Class for Adults will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday and 10 a.m. Aug. 12. The project is a lighted canvas. Cost for materials is $20. Advance registration is required by calling the library.

Free CPR/AED certification training will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Aug. 19. The program is sponsored by the Greene County Memorial Hospital Foundation. Space is limited; call the library to register.

Trip to the Pittsburgh Zoo & Aquarium will be held Aug. 19. Tickets are $14 for anyone 2 and older. Children younger than 2 are free. Ticket price includes bus transportation. Call the library for more information. Deadline to order tickets is Aug. 11.

Bowlby Book Club will meet at 6 p.m. Aug. 14. “All the Light We Cannot See” by Anthony Doerr will be discussed. New members are welcome.

Library Lego Club will meet at 11 a.m. Saturday and Aug. 19.

Yoga for Beginners is held at 5:30 p.m. every Monday. Bring a mat, a towel and some water. Class is $1 per person.

Mother Goose story time for children up to 3 years old with a caregiver begins at 1 p.m. every Monday through Aug. 14. There are stories, finger plays, songs and movement.

Preschool story time for 3- to 5-year-olds with a caregiver is held at 11:30 a.m. every Thursday through Aug. 17. There are stories, crafts and other fun that helps build social skills and gets kids ready for preschool or kindergarten.

Lego Club for children 5 and older meets from 5 to 6 p.m. the first and third Wednesday of every month. The library also is accepting donations of new or gently used Lego sets.

Board at the Library is held at 1 p.m. the second and fourth Wednesday of each month. Participants can play Scrabble, Clue, Monopoly or cards. Participants can bring their own games, too.

Summer Reading Club meets at 2 p.m. Fridays through Aug. 11. Children participating in the Summer Reading program can join for stories, crafts and games.

Crafterday is held at 6 p.m. the third Thursday of each month. Crafters of all types are welcome. Each crafterday also will include printed instructions and a live demonstration on how to make a simple craft.

Family Night will be held from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Tuesday. Speakers from the Little Lake Theater will explain how plays are put together.

Family Night – Found Underground will be held from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Aug. 8. Speakers from the Pittsburgh Geological Society will discuss all things geoscientific.

Partial Eclipse Viewing Party will be held from 12:30 to 4 p.m. Aug. 21. There will be activities and stories, and the library will provide protective eyewear with which to view the celestial event, and will be distributed on a first-come, first-serve basis to those who register for the program.
