Caitlin Brooks was named to the dean’s list at Waynesburg University, where she is majoring in mathematics and has maintained a 4.0 grade-point average. Brooks is a member of the track and field team and won PAC championships this spring. She is a 2015 graduate of Waynesburg Central High School. Her parents are Carl and Valerie Brooks of Waynesburg.
Nathaniel Ecker graduated summa cum laude from Washington and Jefferson College, where he earned a degree in economics. He is a member of Phi Beta Kappa, Omicron Delta Epsilon, Pi Gamma Mu, Order of Omega and Gamma Sigma Alpha and Alpha Lambda Delta. Ecker is a 2013 graduate of Trinity High School. His parents are Roger and Diane Ecker of Washington.
Hannah Keys, daughter of Arthur and Jasna Basaric Keys of Amity, graduated from Smith College, where she earned a bachelor degree in psychology. She is a consumer/retail sector head in the Investment Club, student ambassador for alumnae relations, Wilson House Senior Class and Social Justice representative, intern at Conway Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center, peer member for Disability Services, philanthropy chairwoman for Smith Women in Business and recipient of the varsity tennis team Most Improved Award. Keys is a 2013 graduate of Field School, Washington, D.C. She will study for her master’s degree in the fall at Columbia University School of Social Work in New York City.
Cassidy Kovacicek, daughter of Brenda Kovacicek of Washington, was named to the spring dean’s list with a 4.0 GPA at Westminster College. An early education/special education major, she is a member of the swim team, Lambda Sigma Honor Society, Student Admissions Team, Student Government Association, Council for Exceptional Children, Sigma Kappa Delta, Mortar Board and Kappa Delta Pi. Cassidy is a 2014 graduate of Trinity High School.
Carli Moorehead graduated from Drexel University, where she earned a bachelor of science in biomedical engineering and a master of science in materials science and engineering. She is the recipient of the 2017 Fulbright U.S. Student Program to Italy, recipient of the National Science Foundation-Graduate Research Fellowship Program at the University of Washington and the recipient of the 2016 Goldwater Scholarship. Moorehead is a 2012 graduate of Cornerstone Christian High School and her parents are David Moorehead of McDonald and Maryellen Moorehead of McDonald.
Jessica Weber, daughter of Kristi Simon of Burgettstown, was named to the dean’s list with a 3.85 grade-point average at Kent State University, where she is majoring in nursing. She is a member of Alpha Lambda Delta Honor Society, the National Society of Collegiate Scholars and Phi Mu fraternity, which raises money for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. Weber is a 2016 graduate of Burgettstown High School.
