Garden club offering scholarship

The Martha Washington Garden Club of Washington is offering a $1,000 scholarship to a Washington County student who has completed at least one year of college or university and plans to continue his or her education in agricultural, conservation or environmental studies.

To apply:

• Provide personal information;

• Submit a maximum 400-word essay about your interests and decision to choose your course of study;

• Enclose a copy of your transcripts;

• Mail to: Mary Dobich, 224 Little Creek Road, Marianna, PA 15345-1204.

All applications must be received by July 31.
