Immaculate Conception Parish and JFK Catholic School, Washington, will hold their annual Summer Festival from 6 to 10 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday. There will be food, games, a flea market and entertainment.
Whiskey Rebellion Festival will be held July 6-9 on Main Street in downtown Washington. The festival will feature historic re-enactments, street theater, petting zoo, scavenger hunt for kids, historical tours, demonstrations, heritage crafts, authentic art, a community parade and fireworks. The Washington Symphony Orchestra, Tas Cru and Frank Solivan & Dirty Kitchen will perform. There also will be a variety of food and drink vendors. West Newton Center for Active Adults will host a trip to Amish country in Holmes County, Ohio, July 13. Participants will ride in a buggy, shop, eat lunch and visit an Amish flea market. Cost is $96 per person. Mail full payment to West Newton Senior Center, 103 E. Main St., West Newton, PA 15089. Cancellations will be accepted only if participants replace themselves. St. Damien of Molokai will hold its annual SummerFest fundraiser from 5 to 11 p.m. July 14 and 15 at St. Damien Parish Park, First and Main streets, Monongahela. Entertainment on July 14 will include the NuTones (rock, country and polka) from 7 to 10:30 p.m. The Pittsburgh Bel Airs (classics and doo-wop) will perform from 7:30 to 10:30 p.m. July 15. There also will be a bake sale, bingo, basket raffle, children’s and adult games and small games of chance. Food will include wings, pizza, funnel cakes, ice cream, barbecue, hand-cut fries, Rita’s Italian Ice, fresh-squeezed lemonade and other refreshments. Admission and parking will be free. Mass will be held at 4 p.m. July 15 in the park.
