Mon Valley Hospital elects board members
Monongahela Valley Hospital and its parent organization, Mon-Vale Health Resources Inc., re-elected R. Carlyn Belczyk as chairwoman and Jeff Kotula as vice chairman of their boards. Bradley Bassi was elected to his first term as the secretary of the boards.
Belczyk is a certified public accountant who is accredited in business valuations and a certified valuation analyst. She was first appointed to the MVH and MVHR boards in 2005. She was elected secretary in 2007, vice chairwoman in 2010 and chairwoman in 2015.
Kotula, who is president of the Washington County Chamber of Commerce, was elected to the board of directors of Mon-Vale Health Resources Inc. in 2008 and to the hospital’s board of trustees in 2009. He began serving as the secretary to both boards in 2010 and vice chairman in 2015.
Bassi is an attorney who is a partner with Bassi, Vreeland & Associates PC in Charleroi. He was elected to the MVHR and MVH boards in 2012. He serves on the nominating, bylaws, and hospital planning and outreach committees.
The following directors were re-elected to the MVHR board: Lillian Beattie, Walter Cox, John Fry, S.P. Hewie, David Hunter, Jeffrey Imbrescia, R.G. Krishnan, Kevin Lee and Jaime Prah.
Fry, Hewie, Krishnan, Lee and Prih also were re-elected to MVH’s board of trustees. Archie Allridge was elected to fill the vacancy created by Dana Caruso Slagle’s resignation.
