Mon River Towns Coalition holding photo contest
Mon River Towns Coalition is sponsoring a seasonal photo contest. The topic is “What the Mon River Means to You.”
At least one winning image will be published in the coalition’s quarterly newsletter and on its Facebook page, which will include the photographer’s biography and name.
Deadline to submit spring photos is April 1; summer photos, July 1; fall photos, Oct. 1; and winter photos, Jan. 1. There are no fees to compete, but there is a limit of five images per season. Send high-resolution, digital images to wendy.duchene@gmail.com, and include name, age and a short biography.
The contest is open to all ages, and entrants must hold the right to any submitted photographs. If a person is recognizable, a model release for the subject is required, or, in the case of a minor, a parent’s or guardian’s permission is needed.
Entrants give Mon River Towns the rights to publish and/or use submitted photographs in print or electronic format for marketing, communication, advertising and other promotional purposes. Mon River Towns will be given a nonxclusive, but irrevocable license to use the photograph, but not any copyrights.
