Washington County Bar Association receives three awards
The Washington County Bar Association recently received three awards from the Pennsylvania Bar Association during the 51st annual Seminar of the Conference of County Bar Leaders at the Nittany Lion Inn, State College.
It was one of 23 local bar associations in Pennsylvania honored for sponsoring projects that improve the legal profession, justice system or community.
WCBA was recognized for its updated history of the “Bench and Bar,” Inaugural Past Presidents’ Dinner and Constitution Day event.
The Washington County Bar Association’s Legacy and Conservatorship committee is updating the 1902 book, “Bench and Bar of Washington County, Pennsylvania,” which was written by Boyd Crumrine, and the “Before the Color Fades” series of articles written in the 1980s by Bill Porter.
The project was spearheaded by Chuck Keller and will be published in advance of the association’s 125th anniversary celebration in October.
