Washington & College will hold a “Call Me, Maybe!” call-a-thon from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday to raise money for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Pittsburgh’s Bowl for Kids’ Sake.

Ten Greek organizations from the college will be participating.

Since 2007, W&J student volunteer mentors have served children in the Washington Park and Trinity school districts. The BBBS-W&J community partnership is among the most popular campus volunteer programs.

Bowl for Kids’ Sake is an annual two-month friendly competition among more than 100 local teams. The groups raise money for the agency through social media and traditional creative fundraising. In past years, teams have raised nearly $200,000 to support positive mentoring.

BBBS of Greater Pittsburgh served 1,483 children in 2016 in Allegheny, Greene and Washington counties and has earned national recognition for program quality and organized excellence.
