‘Cooking for Crowds’ workshop scheduled

Penn State Extension is offering a workshop, “Cooking for Crowds: A Volunteer’s Guide to Safe Food Handling,” from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the Waynesburg Masonic Hall, Giant Eagle Plaza, Sugar Run Road.

Cost is $25 for individuals and $50 for organizations with up to four participants. Additional participants from the same group are $5 each.

Participants will receive a food safety manual, posters and a food thermometer, in addition to a certificate of completion from Penn State Extension and the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture.

Deadline to register is Monday by visiting extension.psu.edu/food-safety.
