New youth group forming in Brownsville

A new youth group is being established in the Brownsville area.

The first meeting will be held from 5 to 6:30 p.m. March 26 at Fort Burd United Presbyterian Church, 200 Thornton Road, Brownsville.

The group is open to all youth in sixth through 12th grade. A church affiliation is not required, and there is no charge to participate in the Sunday gatherings. The host site will alternate between Fort Burd and Pleasant View Presbyterian Church, 533 Royal Road, Smock.

A name for the group will be decided at the first meeting. Activities will include get-to-know-you games, mission project, movie, discussion, skit night and “Burger and a Bible.” Free pizza will be served at the first meeting.

Youth leaders are Cheryl Croushore of Pleasant View and Kristi Harden of Fort Burd. Additional volunteer leaders will be welcome.
