A chicken-and-biscuit dinner will begin at 4 p.m. Saturday at West Alexander Methodist Church. Main Street. A love offering will be accepted.

New Hope Church, 22 Cortez Drive, Washington, will hold an all-you-can-eat pancake breakfast from 8 to 11 a.m. Saturday. Cost is $6 for adults and $4 for children 12 and younger. Children 3 and younger are free.

Fairhill Manor Christian Church, 351 Montgomery Ave., Washington, will hold a spaghetti dinner from 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday. Dinner will include homemade meatballs and sauce, beverage and dessert. Cost is $10 for adults and $5 for children 10 and younger. Children 3 and younger eat free. Takeout will be available.

First United Methodist Church, East Pike Street, Houston, will hold a spaghetti dinner from 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday. Tickets are $9 for adults 11 and older and $5 for 5- through 10-year-olds. Richeyville Volunteer Fire Department, 14 Firehall Road, will hold its 20th annual Outdoor Bash & Wild Game Dinner Saturday. Doors open at 5 p.m.; dinner is at 6 p.m. Raffles and door prizes will be held. Tickets are $20. For tickets, call Carol at 724-938-5967.

Flea market and waffle & sausage breakfast will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday at Center in the Woods, 130 Woodland Court. Breakfast costs $6; $5 if a church bulletin is presented.

New Freeport fire hall will hold a country music show Saturday. Old Habits will play from 7 to 8:30 p.m. and Larry Santee with Walker Anderson will play from 8:30 to 10 p.m. Admission is $5. Sponsored by the New Freeport Ladies Auxiliary.

Chartiers Township Community Center will hold a line-dancing class from 6 to 7 p.m. Wednesdays, March 29 through May 3. Cost is $30. The class is open to beginners and experienced line dancers. Registration is required by stopping by the Chartiers Township Community Center, 2013 Community Center Drive, Houston, or calling 724-485-2126.

GFWC Women’s Civic Club of Carmichaels is accepting applications for its two $500 annual student scholarships, which will be awarded in May. Applicants must be a member of the Carmichaels High School graduating class of 2017, maintained a cumulative grade-point average of at least 3.0, have applied or been accepted to a college or technical school and write a 250 word essay. Applicants must also list their community and school activites, provide a letter of reference from a current high school teacher and supply a letter of acceptance to a college or technical school. Completed applications must be received by 3 p.m. March 31 at the high school guidance office. Applications are available in the high school guidance office.

Gene and Boots Candy Sale will be held from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. March 30-31 in the Education Conference Center at Monongahela Valley Hospital.
