Giant Oaks Garden Club will meet at 11:15 a.m. April 6 at St. David’s Episcopal Church, 905 E. McMurray Road, McMurray. After lunch, Mia Demmler will present “Chickens in the Garden.” For lunch reservations, call Pat at 724-942-5421.
Masquerade Jewelry and Accessories Sale will be held from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. April 6 and 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. April 7 in the community room at Washington Hospital. The event is sponsored by the Washington Hospital Auxilary. Cash, credit cards and payroll deduction for Washington Health System employees will be available. Proceds will benefit Washington Health System.
Master Gardeners of Greene County will sponsor a Spring Seminar April 8 at the 4-H building at Greene County Fairgrounds. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. Topics include Improving Your Home Lawn, Small Woodland Management and The Life of Honey Bees. There will be refreshments, a silent auction and door prizes. Cost is $12 for those who register before Thursday or $14 at the door. To register, call the Penn State Extension office at 724-627-3745.
Bentleyville Lions Club will hold its third annual Spring Basket bash April 8 in the Bentleyville fire hall. A $20 ticket provides 25 basket tickets and a catered luncheon by Hog Fathers BBQ. Doors open at 11 a.m., lunch begins at 1 p.m. and the drawings will begin at 2. Drawing participants must be present to win. Tickets must be purchased in advance at Bentleyville Medicine Shoppe, from any Bentleyville Lions member, Dr. Stoupis D.M.D.’s office or call 724-258-3776. Proceeds benefit the Bentleyville Lions Club.
