Rogersville United Methodist Church will hold a community dinner from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Friday in its fellowship hall. Dinner will include choice of fish or creamed chicken sandwich, macaroni and cheese, vegetable, dessert and a beverage. Dinner is free and donations are accepted. Takeout orders will be available. Volunteers are needed to help remove litter along Lake Road and at Dutch Lake, Donegal Township, from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday. Participants should meet at 9 a.m. in the large parking lot at Dutch Fork Lake. Wear sturdy shoes or boots and long pants. Volunteers ages 12 to 17 must have a Keep Pennsylvania Beautiful volunteer waiver form signed by a parent or be accompanied by an adult. The cleanup will be postponed in case of inclement weather. To check the status, call 1-877-772-3673. The cleanup is being conducted by Buffalo Creek Watershed Association in cooperation with Keep Pennsylvania Beautiful with supplies from PennDOT. Greater Waynesburg Christian Outreach will hold a spaghetti dinner from noon to 2 p.m. Sunday at West Sides, 595 W. High Street. Dinner includes spaghetti, salad and bread. Cost is $6 per adult, $4 per child 12 and younger and children younger than 3 eat for free. There is also a $20 family pass for four or more. Desserts will be available for $1. Blacksville Senior Center, Blacksville, W.Va., will hold a baked steak dinner beginning at 11:30 a.m. Sunday. Washington County Council of Democratic Women will meet at 6 p.m. Monday. Candidates night will follow at 7 p.m.

Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal Christian Mothers & Guild, Meadow Lands, will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the CCD Center. Donation suggested for Washington Food Pantry is bathroom tissue. There will be a short business meeting with the election of vice president and treasurer.

Washington County Department of Parks and Recreation will hold an Easter egg hunt preschool program Tuesday and Wednesday in Mingo Creek County Park. Sessions will be offered at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. for children 3 to 5. Participants should meet at the park office. Each child should bring a basket to collect eggs and dress for the outdoor weather. Washington County Department of Parks and Recreation will hold a “Leaf Litter Critters” homeschool outdoor classroom program April 6 in Mingo Creek County Park. Sessions will begin at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. Meet at Shelter 4. The program is offered to children ages 5 to 11. Participants should dress for the outdoors and weather. Carmichaels Women’s Civic Club will meet at 6 p.m. April 6 in the fellowship hall at Carmichaels Methodist Church. This will be the club’s annual “Rose’s Tea Party.” Loni Willis will present “Natural Solutions from Doterra.” All members are encouraged to bring a guest. Bring items for the troops and child-friendly items for the food bank. New members are welcome.

Greene County Historical Society will host an exhibit opening from 6 to 8 p.m. April 7. The exhibit commemorates Greene County’s participants in World War II and will feature an exclusive battle diorama, first-hand accounts and photos from soldiers and other artifacts. Chartiers Custom Pet Cremation is sponsoring a free pet first aid class April 29 at Bridgeville Public Library, 505 McMillen St. Registration deadline is Friday; callDeb at 412-220-7800. When registering for the class, registrants will be asked to choose if they’d like a two-hour informational class or a four-and-a-half-hour class which gives them full certification in providing pet first aid.

Greene County Department of Recreation is offering an Easter Cake Pop class Wednesday at the Greene County Fairgrounds. Instructor Yvonne Lee of Carmichaels will lead the class at 6 p.m. in the upper level of Building 10. Demonstrations and hands-on instruction will help participants create festive treats to take home. Fee is $25 and includes all supplies, except a container to carry the cake pops home. Washington County History & Landmarks Foundation is sponsoring a luncheon-program at the historic Malden Inn (now Paci’s) on old National Road near Centerville. The event will begin at 1 p.m. April 9, and include a tour of the original National Road through Centerville and Beallsville before a walking tour of Scenery Hill.
