“Spotlight on Pittsburgh” features interviews with people who have an impact on the lives of those in the tri-state region.

A new television show is putting the spotlight on Peters Township.

During the “Spotlight on Pittsburgh” show’s April 24 debut on Peters Township Community Television, host Mandi Pryor interviewed Rob Costanza, the Growth Coach Three Rivers, and Erica Shulsky, a six-time winner of Pittsburgh Magazine’s Top Real Estate Agent of the year.

Pryor’s theme is dedicated to finding those in and around Pittsburgh who make it an amazing place to live and work.

“Four or five years ago, I had the idea of the show where I would go to different places and meet different people,” Pryor said. “I would bring my own camera, do my own interview and edit it myself.

“It just kept getting put on the backburner. The idea behind it was I wanted to highlight some of these people in the area that make it great, but aren’t necessarily known about.”

With the studio space inside Peters Township High School, along with a learning experience for students who help produce the show, Pryor finally brought the idea to reality.

“It was an amazing moment for me,” she said after seeing her first show. “I’ve done some other stuff in the past, but this is actually my own idea on video. It took a while, but I’m so glad to be able to have this opportunity.”

The talk show will feature Pryor conducting two interviews about 10 to 12 minutes in length about varying topics. Still, she wants the guests to have a commonality.

The next show will feature Lyndsey Kramer of Food by Lyndsey, a caterer in Pittsburgh’s culture scene, and Jeff Berkowski of New Life Kitchen.

“One of my goals is to entertain,” Pryor said. “I don’t want it to be a straightforward talk show. I want to add a hint of humor and some fun between our guests. I hope people take or learn something from the show.”

“Spotlight on Pittsburgh” can be viewed on Peters Township Community Television – channel 7 on Comcast or channel 38 on VerizonFios – at varying times throughout the week. It also can be seen on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Youtube or at www.spotlightonpittsburgh.com.
