Monessen Center for Active Adults, 1925 Grand Blvd., will hold a lunch and show Thursday. Lunch begins at noon, and an Elvis impersonator will perform at 12:45. Tickets are $5 and are available at the center and will be sold at the door.
New Freeport Ladies Auxiliary will sponsor a country music show from 7 to 10 p.m. Saturday at New Freeport fire hall. Sandy Huffman will perform from 7 to 8:30 p.m., and Dick Rutan, Larry Santee and Walker Anderson will perform from 8:30 to 10. Admission is $5.
Deer-proofing gardens will be presented by Lisa Jenkins of Jim Jenkins Lawn & Garden Center at the Giant Oaks Garden Club luncheon, which will begin at 11:15 a.m. Thursday, June 1, at St. David’s Episcopal Church, 905 E. McMurray Road. Reservations are $6. Call Pat at 724-942-5421.

Waynesburg VFW will hold a country line dance class and country line dance from 7 to 11 p.m. June 3. The family-friendly event will be tobacco- and alchohol-free. Whiskey-tasting event will be held June 10 at the Bradford House Museum in Washington. There will be light 18th-century refreshments and sample whiskey from Liberty Pole Spirits. Participants can tour the museum, enjoy period music and receive an Alexander Hamilton shot glass. Tickets are $19 and must be purchased in advance, along with choosing a time slot.
