Waynesburg high school graduation set for June 2
Waynesburg Central High School will graduate 127 seniors at commencement exercises at 7 p.m. June 2 at the high school’s auditorium.
There are 15 summa cum laude students being recognized. They are Adrian Barnhart, Clarissa Bennett, Sarah Bish, Nathan Blair, Kiana Blasco, Cody Grandas, Arden Kalsey, Jeromy Mackey, Colin McCracken, Elizabeth McCracken, Lauren Rose, Aaron Sielski, Mitchell Warman, Adam Weinschenker and Zackary Yenchik.
Mackey, the class president, also will be speaking at graduation.
Barnhart, daughter of Robert and Jillian Barnhart of Waynesburg, will attend Waynesburg University to pursue a degree in business management.
Bennett, daughter of Lisa and Edward Snider of Waynesburg, will attend Penn State University to pursue a degree in biomedical engineering.
Bish, daughter of Matthew and Mary Bish, will attend Waynesburg University and is undecided on a major.
Blair, son of Matthew and Heidi Blair of Waynesburg, will attend Lehigh University to pursue a degree in mechanical engineering.
Blasco, daughter of Stephen and Tonya Blasco of Waynesburg, will attend Kent State University to pursue a degree in biology.
Grandas, son of Mike and Renee Grandas of Waynesburg, will attend Penn State University and is undecided.
Kelsey, daughter of Lisa and Robb Kelsey of Waynesburg, will attend the University of Pittsburgh for pre-medicine.
Mackey, son of Kelly and Brad Mackey of Waynesburg, will attend California University of Pennsylvania to pursue a degree in liberal arts education and theater.
Colin McCracken, son of Chad and Jennifer McCracken of Waynesburg, will attend Kent State University to pursue a degree in engineering and will be a member of the wrestling team.
Elizabeth McCracken, daughter of Cindy and Patsy Morrow of Waynesburg, will attend Lock Haven University Honors College to pursue a degree in health science.
Rose, daughter of Daniel and Joey Rose of Waynesburg, will attend Penn State University and is undecided.
Sielski, son of Paul and Mary Sielski of Waynesburg, will attend Waynesburg University to pursue a degree in mathematics and history.
Warman, son of Donna Toth of Waynesburg and Gary Warman of Valencia, will attend Duquesne University to pursue a degree in biology and pre-medicine.
Weinschenker, son of James and Amy Weinschenker of Waynesburg, will attend West Virginia University to pursue a degree in civil engineering.
Yenchik, son of Randal and Lori Yenchik of Waynesburg, will attend Rochester Institute of Technology to pursue a degree in game design and development.
