67 students to graduate from Bentworth High School today

Bentworth High School will graduate 67 seniors at commencement exercises at 6 p.m. today in the high school gymnasium.

Katherine Jean Nicholl is the valedictorian, and Nicholas Jay Chapman is the salutatorian.

Nicholl, daughter of Kenyon and Laurie Nicholl of Eighty Four, received the U.S. Marine Corps Scholastic Excellence Award, Bentleyville Lioness Scholarship, McCracken Memorial Scholarship, Clearview Credit Union Scholarship Award, Presidential Gold Award and the Girl Scout Bronze, Silver and Gold awards.

Nicholl will attend Purdue University, where she plans to pursue a degree in engineering.

Chapman, son of Corey and Jodi Chapman of Bentleyville, received the Leo of the Year Award, Alex’s Love of Soccer Scholarship and the senior Challenge Award.

Chapman will attend the University of Pittsburgh, where he will pursue a degree in computer engineering.
