Greene County students win reading awards
West Greene High School finished second. Team members are Carter Bowser, Tyler Barnhart and Essence Bowser.
The Chapters of West Greene finished third in the Elementary School Division. Team members are Katherine Jameson, Bradley Schoenfeldt, Emmett Whipkey, Lane Allison, Maelynn Hill and Walker Amos.
Waynesburg Central Elementary Library 1 placed second. Team members are Lilly Talpas, Kylie Blaker, Kiersten Blaker, Aiden Armstrong and Hunter Rogers.
Rock N Readers of West Greene placed second in the Middle School Division. Team members are Trevor Triplett, Stephanie Ward, London Whipkey, Parker Smith and Cody Main.

The Meme Team, representing Margaret Bell Miller Middle School, placed third in the competition. Team members are Nathan Phillips, Caleb Hartman, Abbigail Davis, Alexis Rockwell, Faith Gumbarevic, Vivian Greenwood and Jonah Higley.
Dead Poets Society, representing Margaret Bell Miller Middle School, was first among 10 teams that competed in the Middle School Division. Members of the team are Skylar Herrington, Anna Havrilesko, Jenna Martin, Paige Hellems, Abby Lipscomb and Abby Robinson.
Thirty-three teams representing local schools and libraries recently participated in the Greene County Library System’s fifth annual Greene County Reading Competition at Buhl Hall on the campus of Waynesburg University.
