Carmichaels club names girls of the month
The Carmichaels Area Women’s Civic Club has named its girls of the month for September and October.
Madison Pratt was selected girl of the month for September and Pilar Randolph girl of the month for October. Both are seniors at Carmichaels Area High School.
Pratt, the daughter of Kim and Paxton Pratt, is president of student council, captain of the varsity cheerleaders, secretary of the marching band and historian of the National Honor Society. She was a homecoming attendant and participates in volleyball, academic league, peer jury and choir. Pratt writes for the school newspaper and is a member of the book club, SADD, French club and senior standing committee. She plans to attend either Carlow University or Robert Morris University to become a medical perfusionist.
Randolph, the daughter of Bob and Amy Randolph, is president of the National Honor Society, president of the marching band and a tuba section leader. She is vice president of the senior class, editor-in-chief of the school newspaper and a member of the academic league, French club, marching and concert bands and senior standing committee. She is piano accompanist for the choir. Randolph has published a short story in the Claremont Review and two poems in the Third Wednesday Review. She plans to attend a four-year college and major in English. She hopes to continue her education to obtain a master’s degree and a doctorate to teach English at the college level.
