All-you-can-eat spaghetti dinner will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at First Christian Church, 615 E. Beau St., Washington. Dinner includes spaghetti with homemade meat sauce, salad, Italian bread, drink and homemade dessert. Takeout will be available. Cost is $10 for adults and $4 for children 5 to 12 years old. Rummage sale/bake sale will be held from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday and Saturday at Fawcett United Methodist Church, 346 Fawcett Church Road, Bridgeville. There will be a large Christmas selection, and lunch will be available. Enjoyment also can be purchased. The church is taking orders for Gardner pies for Thanksgiving and Sarris Candy for Christmas.
Spaghetti dinner, sponsored by United Methodist community churches, will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday at Scenery Hill United Methodist Church, 2230 E. National Pike. The menu will include spaghetti, meatballs, bread, salad, dessert and drink. Cost is $7 for adults and $4 for children 12 and younger. Kids 2 and younger eat free. Takeout will be available. Grindstone Lions Club will be selling pork and hot sausage sandwiches Saturday, starting at 10 a.m., in the parking lot of the Shell service station, Routes 40 and 166. Sandwiches are $5 each. Condiments will be provided. Proceeds benefit Lions Club projects.
Fire safety event will be held from 2 to 5 p.m. Saturday at Denbo Vesta Six Volunteer Fire Company, 925 Low Hill Road. Sparky the Dog will be on hand for a meet and greet. There also will be fire truck and gear displays, simulated fire or emergency rescues and free safety information. Food and drinks will be available.
Amwell Township Historical Society will meet at 7 p.m. Monday in the Amwell Township Municipal Building. The executive board will meet at 6:15 p.m. Jack Puglisi will present a program on the life of Ben Franklin.
Mon Valley Regional Chamber of Commerce member luncheon will be held Oct. 10 at the Anthony M. Lombardi Education Conference Center, Monongahela Valley Hospital. Jennifer Reis, manager of government affairs of the Pennsylvania Chamber of Business and Industry, will be keynote speaker. Registration and networking begin at 11:45 a.m., and the luncheon will end at 1 p.m. Cost is $18 per person; a token for the parking garage is included in the registration fee.
