A donation of dictionaries
To celebrate Literacy Month, Rotary Club of Washington distributes dictionaries to third-grade students in Washington County schools, including those in McGuffey, Burgettstown, Avella, Washington, Trinity, Fort Cherry and Faith Christian. The objective is to provide students with a dictionary of their own that will serve them through elementary school and beyond. The club has presented more than 8,500 dictionaries since the project’s inception. Presenting dictionaries this month were Rotarians William Price, a former superintendent of Burgettstown Area School District, who distributed dictionaries to Burgettstown students, and Brandi Butler, Liz Rogers and Jim Uram, who presented dictionaries to Trinity West students.
