Wheeling orchestra to perform ‘Broadway’

Wheeling Symphony Orchestra will perform its first concert of the 2017-18 season, “Blockbuster Broadway,” at 7:30 p.m. Sept. 21 at the Capitol Theatre in Wheeling, W.Va.
The evening will feature showstoppers from Broadway’s smash hits, including selections from “The Phantom of the Opera,” “Annie,” “Jersey Boys,” “The Sound of Music,” “Chicago,” “Cats” and “A Chorus Line.”
Joining the orchestra on stage will be vocalist/host Scott Coulter of New York City, who has won multiple awards for his cabaret acts and his performances with symphonies around the country.
Before the concert, patrons can purchase a pre-show, prix fixe dinner atered by Rocco Basil in the Capitol Theatre Ballroom.
Pre-show dinner tickets are $25 per person and include tax and gratuity.
