Spaghetti dinner will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. today at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 775 N. Main St., Washington. Menu includes spaghetti, choice of meatballs or sausage, salad, fresh bread, dessert and beverage. Cost is $8 for adults, $7 for senior citizens and $3 for children. Takeout will be available. Volunteers are needed Friday and Saturday for the food bank distribution at Calvin United Presbyterian Church, 307 Spring St., Brownsville. The truck will be unloaded at 8:30 a.m. Friday, and food will be distributed at 10 a.m. Saturday. Volunteers should arrive at 9:15 a.m. to help with the distribution. The food bank is a service sponsored by the Brownsville Area Ministerial Association.
American Legion Post 330, Waynesburg, will hold a lasagna dinner to support veterans from 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday. Dinner includes lasagna, salad, dessert, coffee and lemonade or iced tea. Cost is $10 for adults and $7 for children 10 and younger. Takeout will be available for a fee.
River Town Program’s fall coalition meeting will be held at 7:45 a.m. Sept. 29 in the Kara Alumni Center, 611 Second St., on the California University of Pennsylvania campus. The agenda will include a social media and marketing presentation and a review of completed and pending projects. A continental breakfast will be provided.
